a) A doula was previously certified with DONA, but their certification lapsed more than 4 years ago.
b) A doula that is certified by one of the approved organizations, supported at least 40 births, and desires a DONA certification.
c) A doula who was trained by an organization that did not offer certification has supported at least 40 births and desires a DONA certification.
All three pathways must apply to and follow DONA International requirements. See www.DONA.org for additional information.
